We've had a Baltic cruise on our radar for sometime and were not disappointed. We've been on the Marina's sister ship, Riviera and love both. These O ships are our favourites though have great times on the Insignia and Sirena as well.
Port Highlights: St. Petersburg (Alla Tours), sail into Stockholm (reminds us of Northern Ontario), enjoyed our shopping day in Helsinki and wondering Tallin and Rostock (no need to take excursions).
Ship Highlights: Love Jacques and Red Ginger - they never disappoint. Service and CD was excellent (amazed on communication and how well organized staff were regarding 1st day disembarking in St Petersburg for passport control). Our veranda suite was spotless and enjoyed having breakfast served in our room as this was a busy cruise and found saved us time.
Port is Warrenmunde not Berlin; as excursion to Berlin is too long and TA advised not worth the 3 hour ride there and 3 hour ride back. So we toured this small town then took a 20 min train to Rostock to walk around and was an enjoyable, relaxing day.
Kinda disappointing as heard so much about but then again we've seen so many quaint villages, it may have impacted our views. Still a very cute and easy to walk on your own town and enjoyed a cafe in the oldest coffee shop (the one with old clock in window).
Small town - easy to walk from where shuttle left us and did some great shopping.
