We'd had an excellent experience on a previous RCI cruise and thought we would do it again - and brought 2 other couples with us, (for both couples, it was their first cruise). We all had balconies and we fully participated in the experience - going to the spa, the theatre, bingo, RCI excursions, art auction, casino - everything! The ports were wonderful and the ship was clean. It seemed horribly understaffed. We waited a minimum of 10 minutes for every drink we had. I did not feel welcome, I felt "processed". LIke the experience was intended to get us on the ship, extract as much money as possible and get them off. It didn't feel that way the first time. We spent 5 nights in the specialty restaurants and enjoyed the Main Dining room more. In Chops, one of our party ordered a lobster advertised as Maine Lobster. Except it wasn't - it was a Caribbean lobster. When brought to the attention of the server, he shrugged and said "I don't know anything about lobster". The specialty restaurants did not come close to an elegant dining experience. The 2 other couples won't be back - they said they would rather go to an All Inclusive where you don't have to stand in line for a drink - they spent a ton of money, but didn't feel valued or appreciated.
