We wanted to revisit BC and bolted this cruise on before visiting family in Ontario. Alaska is amazing Spectacular scenery. We particularly enjoyed the expert speakers and the BBC music linked film was memorable.
The ship was busy and the Lido buffet was a scramble. There was a large group of Americans who were noisy and intrusive but very friendly. The MDR was booked out by groups and open dinning was not available early. We opted for fixed dinning early and sat at a table for 6. This worked well but I cannot understand why there were so many empty tables some guests were sitting 2 at a table of 8? The food was good but portions were small. I had lobster one small beastie I could have eaten twice that.
We did not do HOL;s excursions ports are in easy reach and we purchased the Yukon rail tickets for a fraction of the price.
