Cabin: Junior Suite

Cruise was chosen for the ports of call and in accordance to my work schedule. Embarkation was trouble-free but since we had a junior suite it meant that we had a separate and shorter queue.

The ship was fairly small, so was easy to get around and become familiar with. We had the speciality dining package which was disappointing overall. Izumi gave us a table at the same time as 33 crew members, meaning that the kitchen could clearly not cope with the amount of orders so we got our second course 1.5 hours after we arrived. We ordered chicken on a hot stone which came already cooked since the chef decided to change their policy for health and safety reasons without informing us. These criticisms were relayed to the restaurant manager on the night who did his best to make it up to us on the next night in Chops Grille. On the other hand, our meals in Chops Grille and Giovani's Table were excellent. Our 9oz fillet steak was one of the best we had tried and was consistent for the three nights we visited Chops Grille.

We also had the ultimate beverage package which is worth paying for as there is a wide range of cocktails and other drinks available.

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Clean, spacious and plenty of storage spaces. However, there were some signs of rust on the balcony and we were not given our cruise compass on one of the days. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our rooms several times a day, managing to adapt these times around our schedule. Hairdryer available in the room.
