We travelled on our very first cruise (Navigator) with RCI in 2016 and booked this cruise onboard last year. Being our second cruise (Navigator) we had things to compare it with and firstly we found that the food in the main dining room was not as good as last year, however the windjammer was excellent. The staff were tremendous, they were always happy and very helpful and we cannot fault them in any way. With the issues we had with the cleanliness of our room I must say that RCI dealt with it professionally and very quickly. Last year we had an interior room but this year we opted for a balcony, we can honestly say it's the balcony every time from now on, fresh air and beautiful views. We have booked with RCI for next year on the Independence (after the refit) and cannot wait to sail again. Thank you RCI for another wonderful holiday and see you next year.
We paid for a stateroom with a Pullman bed however this room had a sofa bed, this was the first thing and we have to say that the room was very dirty. The sofa bed was covered in white hairs and there were crumbs left on the floor, a milk carton and a straw also. Obviously this room wasn't cleaned before we arrived. We told the service desk about these issues and immediately we were contacted to get these issues rectified. The sofa was changed for a new one and the room cleaned. Our room attendant Rehindra was very good and made every effort to ensure we had no other issues ongoing.
