Wanted to try this as an alternative to flying to europe. We were not impressed. Everything was just average. While the evening dress code is truly outdated, it wasn't a problem. Just wearing a jacket doesn't make for well-dressed passengers however. Rarely have we been on a cruise where the passengers were dressed so plainly so Cunard should re-think whether the dress code actually achieves their desired result. The lunch buffet was quite good but in the evening, the buffet was minimal. Clearly the expectation was for the majority of passengers to go to the main dining rooms. We found the evening entertainment to be boring with the exception of the Broadway show one evening. Prices for internet packages were well above anything we have paid on other cruise lines. The wine selection was not good and prices for drinks in any of the lounges were absurdly high. We got our answer and won't be cruising on Cunard again.
