We liked the ports of call. This ship was a bit to formal for us considering the weight limit on planes these days. It was pretty obvious that they did not want you on board unless you were going to accept the crazy dress code.
We found the ship a bit under staffed. The food was good, desserts wonderful however the service seemed a bit amiss. Room steward was wonderful We felt the communication was a bit lacking . It seemed we never stuck to when we were leavening ports or staying. Lack of communication with the ships crew was high. We felt the disembarking at ports was a fiasco. Go to one floor walk down other floors get tickets for tender was really crazy.
It was so hot on the ship it was unbelievable considering at the restaurant everyone had on jackets. We realize this was an older crowd but the heat was a bit much. The Captains daily talks was usually mumbled, could not hear in room so we were unable to hear much of what he had to say. Saw some higher ups walking around the ship however they never talked nor did they smile, it was like they felt above everyone. It was strange to us as other cruise lines the staff talks to you even sits down and talks to you. The daily activities were minimal some of the entertainment was ok others not. Drinks were so ridiculously expensive it was insulting. The wine was very disappointing. The first glass of prosecco I ordered was flat! I would think they could see it by looking at the glass. Some of the ports were wonderful some were disappointing. The excursions left a lot to be desired for the price .Pursers office the most upsetting of all. They were not a happy crew at all and not very helpful they always looked mad at everyone. A smile would have helped. Overall not impressed with the ship, its crew, the liquor or the communication.
