We were on our way back to Aust after 6 weeks in US and we thought this cruise would be a fantastic way of seeing Hawaii. Pride of America is a beautiful ship. Wonderful cabin steward and good evening entertainment. We were however staggered with the dining facilities and food. "Complimentary" food was average at best and dining staff were clearly poorly trained. Some staff were obviously trying to do their best, others were just rude. The "anytime dining" option was a joke. On a number of occasions we presented to the half empty dining room to be told there was nothing available for some time. The buffet served tepid, mass produced food and tables were not regularly cleared or cleaned. Alcohol costs were extremely high when compared to other cruise ships we have experienced. Shore excursion organization was poor but the scenery of Hawaii is fantastic. Unfortunately, the overall experience on the ship was disappointing.
Cabin was good with excellent cabin steward
