We have long wanted to do this cruise. Having recently driven the Gibb River road it was time to see the parts of the Kimberley inaccessible by road. We cannot fault the cruise. Everything was excellent: notably the ship itself; the staff (without exception excellent, friendly, efficient); meals (variety over the ten days excellent); access at any time to the bridge; excursions which were very well organised by three knowledgeable leaders; activities including talks, films, slide shows, sunset drinks; easy access to the ship's tender and the three zodiacs. We would certainly recommend highly. Embarkation and disembarkation were very well organised. In July we would expect fine weather and were not disappointed. But additionally it was calm with low swell except on two days: winds and swell an cause difficulties with some beach landings. Highlights included: a helicopter flight to and landing at Mitchell Falls; Hidden Island Reef with its abundance of life; a pod of dolphins which were attracted to the ship and stayed the night; numerous humpback whales heading south on the last day, to Broome; and several rock art sites which have long been on my bucket list. But picking out individual things is unfair: the experience as a whole was an unforgettable adventure.
