Cabin: Aft-Facing Balcony

We wanted to go to Cuba and love to cruise, so thought this would be a win win especially with the included alcohol package. Unfortunately the Norwegian Sky is not really a very clean ship and is in need of a serious cleaning. The cabin we had was very moldy, and the shower stall backed up all over the place. The carpet was old and dingy, and the deck furniture on the balcony was kind of rickety. The pools were very small, and did not seem very clean, perhaps due to the number of people swimming in them. In order to take any classes at the gym, such as yoga or a Zumba class they charged extra!

The staff were not as friendly as on other ships, perhaps as there was no tipping for drinks. The staff also seemed in a constant state of stress, not sure why, perhaps too much multitasking, doing more than one job in a day has to get to you after a while.

We were asked on 2 nights to leave the pool deck while sitting in sun so they could put all the deck chairs away, found this very rude. I would go to Cuba again but not on this cruise line We also go food poisoning in one of the restaurants and got confined to cabin for 24 hrs and a 1100$ bill. Another thing to note, bring Imodium as you CAN'T buy it on board. The food was just OK, not nearly up to the quality of the food I have had on other NCL cruises.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

Cabin was dirty, with mold around the door frames and in the bathroom. The shower was backed up and leaked all over the floor. The balcony was so small and there was no screen door on the balcony like on other NCL cruise ships. We were very disappointed in the cabin
