We had the pleasure of recently sailing on the Viking Sky Homelands cruise, Stockholm to Bergen. The whole trip was amazing! The Viking Sky is a stunning ship. Even though the ship was almost full to capacity it did not feel crowded at all. Anywhere we went on the ship there was always plenty of seating available. The staff and crew went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. You really felt that their goal was to make this trip a memorable one for you. We enjoyed all of the various eating venues available and the food was great. The way the tables are situated in the dining rooms made it very conducive to nice dinner conversations with the people next to you. We especially enjoyed The Chef's Table.We took advantage of the spa as well. The facilities are beautiful. My husband enjoyed the steam room and the snow grotto, very unique! Throughout the day, Viking always had something to offer on board from cultural talks, port talks for the next day's destination (which were extremely helpful and informative), demonstrations and activities, to music in various areas around the ship and nightly entertainment. During the day at each port a variety of excursions were available. Whether we did the included excursion or an optional tour they were all extremely well organized and run. We also found the Viking Daily, a publication that we received in our stateroom each evening and chronicled the events of the next day, to be very helpful.

While this was our first Viking cruise I am pretty sure it will not be our last. We enjoyed every minute of our cruise and will look forward to more adventures with Viking in the future
