We chose this cruise because we live near Boston and have never been to Bermuda. I originally booked an ocean view room, but took advantage of the upgrade bidding process and was upgraded to a balcony room for $300 more (a deal).

Embarkation: Couldn't have been smoother. We arrived via a taxi from South Station ($12 fare - about 10 minutes with average traffic), around 11:00 AM and dropped off our luggage with the porter. Went upstairs, went through security, and handed paperwork to NCL registration desk. Was given a number for boarding (#11). We boarded around 12:00! Had our backpacks ready with swimming suits so immediately changed and jumped into one of the hot tubs to relax until dinner time.

Cabin 9176: Smaller room than on Carnival or Princess (only other cruise lines I've used before). I recommend two tips I read on here - ONE: if you are using the sofa bed for sleeping, DO ask for an eggshell crate mattress pad. Makes all the difference in the world. TWO: DO bring an extension cord if you need to power up more than one item at the same time.
