This was our first cruise on Oceania. We arrived at the terminal at noon. Embarkation was quick. Our luggage was collected. We got our seapass and were on the ship. We checked out the Terrace Cafe and Windows Grill. We had hot dogs and fries. Sat outside near the pool while we waited to get into our cabin. Oceania allows the higher level cabins earlier access. When you are allowed access, your luggage is outside your cabin. Our cabin was on deck 8 close to the elevators. It was nicely appointed with lots of good storage space. The bed was very comfortable. The veranda had 2 cushioned chairs and a table. The bathroom was large. Loved the walkin and separate tub/ shower combo. The Bvlgari toiletries were good. The public venues were gorgeous. Ate some meals in the Grand dining room. For breakfast and lunch we liked the offerings at the buffet or grill. Dinner in the Grand dining room was good. Dinners at the specialty restaurants were outstanding. Best was Jaques and Polo. The elegant tea was presented everyday at 4 pm. Loved the scones. Baristas made excellent coffee. Baristas served some pastry and sandwiches. The Library had an excellent selection. We took 3 included excursions. 2 were good. We enjoy booking private tours or exploring independently. Oceania excursions are overpriced. We shared a full day Wales tour with friends we met from our rollcall. We were a bit annoyed by the lack of "included" shuttles. Shuttles were only available in a few ports where the port provided them. We only tendered in Newhaven(Edinburgh). Tendering service was slow. We enjoyed some of the entertainment. The nightly entertainment was typical cruise fare. Liked the live music in the bars. Best was the piano player in Martini Bar. Disembarkation was well organized. We liked the cruise. While we did not book a future cruise, we will book again.
