We chose this 14 day Cruise around the Med because of what we thought was a lovely itinerary and the chance to visit friends in beautiful Corsica.
From the moment we went through the Bulk head door my Wife & I thought this is shabby. The lift doors were all marked grazed and chipped the paint work was old and shabby, Some fixtures and fittings inside the lifts didn't work
We had recently come off a cruise with P&O on the Azura so we were expecting the same standards if not better, as we were told by our booking Agent, Princess Cruise liners are a step above P&O unfortunately this wasn't to be.
Very dated Cabin in dire need of a total refit.
Took a Taxi from our Hotel in Southampton into the Port very impressed well organised.
Just got off the Ship and walked around the town, met up with friends.
We couldn't dock at Genoa due to problems there, so the ship docked outside in the harbour off Santa Margherita. Passengers were Tendered by boat to the shore. this was a total farce, as not everyone was aware of this and a ticket system was introduced which too so long that people gave up waiting and stayed on board .
Once again just took a bus and walked around the City, not impressed at all.
Walked into Gibraltar from the Ship just a short distance, a lovely place, would like to go back and stay.
Stayed on board as too far to travel from the Docks into Rome. Weather was poor to, which didn't help.
