I was traveling with a girl friend and we are in our early 70's. This was my 38 Cruise and 3 have been on NCL. The food and service were excellent and their Garden Cafe buffet was one of the best I have experienced on a mass market ship. We ate in Cagney's, Teppanyaki and La Bistro and all our meals in the specialty restaurants were good. They have so many complimentary restaurants with excellent food you won't miss too much skipping their speciality restaurants and will save yourself a lot of money. We never ate in the MDR because their smaller dining rooms Taste and Savor were more intimate and we felt like we were dining in a small elegant restaurant - we loved it. They also have the same menu as the MDR. Taste and Savor must be a well kept secret and most passengers might think they are speciality restaurants and always go to the MDR. We never had to wait for a table and it's a nice dining experience with incredible service.

The ships pools are much too small for the number of passengers on the ship so I stayed far away from the pool areas. The Atrium always had activities and their entertainment, music and group games and family activities were excellent. I would suggest you get to the Atrium early for their scheduled activities because seating is at a premium. The staff puts up additional folding chairs but there is never enough chairs and a lot of people have to stand. Don't let this stop you from going to the Atrium their games were so funny I laughed until I cried. Tyler the Cruise Director Tyler goes around the clock and keeps everyone hopping!

Book your shows before getting on the ship because their reservations fill up quickly. You will never be bored on this ship and it certainly is the perfect Escape!

Cabin Review

Family Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin O1

The cabin was a strange shape and was comfortable but our cabin door opened to a poll and getting in and out of the cabin was a little difficult! We had enough hangers and there were a lot of shelves but no drawers which I really missed. The desk was quite small but was well light with LED lights above the mirror. We were in a perfect location 5 cabins from the elevator and within easy access to the Atrium just up one flight of stairs. The gangway in most of the ports was one flight downstairs and we could be in our cabin within two minutes when coming back to the ship and didn't have to fight a crowd for an elevator.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

This would have been ideal if it wasn't so crowded. Get off the ship as soon as you can to get a chair by the pool or on the beach. We got off the ship around 11:30AM and had a very hard time finding chairs by the pool.
