I waited a few months to write this review, because I think a little time for it all to settle in to memory helps with the perspective. We loved this trip, but I wanted to be sure I looked back and felt the same, which I do.

A lot of reviews - especially negative ones - are obviously written in the heat of the moment, right after leaving the ship. Something really, REALLY, got into the person's craw, which bothered them so much it colored every other aspect of their experience (hard to enjoy yourself once you're set on being angry). And then ALL the food became inedible (yes, every meal), the dancers and singers became worse than a 1st grade Christmas program, the sagging, stained mattress had springs poking out of it that the burlap sheets could not contain, the tiny pool became a swamp, the other passengers were just icky (hey, reviewer, you’re talking about me!), the taxi driver back to the airport robbed them at gunpoint, and so on.

THIS IS NOT THAT REVIEW. WE LOVED THIS CRUISE!! If you are considering the Carnival Triumph I also recommend this excellent, detailed review on the Cruise Critic Boards by another reviewer which helped us a lot:

Cabin 6B

Location right under dining room toward the back of the ship. Mostly very quiet, little foot traffic in the hallway. During late seating, two nights there was loud bass music around 9pm for about 5 minutes while servers did a little dance program. Otherwise pretty silent. Instead of a trundle bed the sofa was made up into a full-size bed the whole cruise.
