Ok here’s my review of Carnival Pride. We went 30 Jul to 6 Aug 2017
PARKING/LUGGAGE DROP OFF– terrible. We live nearby so we drove. Got to the port and waited in a car line to be handed a green piece of paper to put in our windshield “DROPPING OFF” or “PARKING” We were parking. Was in a slow long line for about 30 mins just to drop off luggage. They only had 2 workers there. Insane. Go to other ports and they have lots of porters taking luggage. After waiting 30 mins to drop off luggage we were directed to the line to pay to park. It was divided into 2 lanes. One for paying with credit card and one with cash. The one with cash was no wait, the credit card lane was another 30 mins. Again, only 2 workers taking payments. Advice to people leaving your car there, pay with cash. $105 for the 7 days. You would think for the amount of money they take in they could afford to hire a couple more people to take credit card payments.
EMBARKATION -Great. We booked a suite so we were priority. Zoomed right though. From entering the terminal to our room took 20 mins tops.
ROOM – We had a suite. Very nice. Small for a suite. Not as big as same category as Royal Caribbean but it was nice. Two adults, one child. Plenty of storage, nice size bathroom. Only complaint, was the bathtub. I had mentioned to our cabin steward that I like to take baths and could he please clean it well each day. He did not. The balcony was a nice size for us but extremely filthy. There was hair and dirt in the water well. Really disgusting. The plexiglass windows were so dirty we couldn't really see thru them. They told us that they were having all balconies cleaned one day in port. If they did, they missed our balcony. Our sheets had stains on them and my daughter had lots of red bites on her legs the last few days. Not sure where or what caused them. Not wanting to speculate.
