first ever sailing from Southampton for a group of 8, I was dreading the bay of Biscay as friends have had bad crossings there, it was fine going and like a mill pond on return trip. In fact the English channel was the bumpy ride going out to Barcelona.
Food & service were up to Princess' high standards, cleanliness is second to none and the staff are very polite (even in the early hours ).
Botticelli dining room was our assigned venue, waiter was called Rocky, from Goa; absolute gentleman; knew what drinks to have ready at the table, where we all sat and I relied on him to choose the evenings recommended meals (all meals were excellent). he was managing 3 or 4 tables around us and was rushing around like a blur until you said his name!! and then he would take an order and have it presented at the table in no time, in the 2 weeks he made no mistakes with our table.
baja deck balcony cabin; kept immaculate by David, our steward. big enough for the two of us and balcony was excellent of an evening, watching the sea go by waiting to go for dinner & also watching the ship coming into ports.
