My sister and I wanted to have a "sister break" and decided that a cruise would be the easiest to organise, as we did not have much time to plan. It proved to be absolutely ideal, as we could see and do maximum, with travelling between cities happening while we were having fun on the ship or sleeping!

We booked an extra night in Stockholm before the ship's departure so that we could see something of the city. We mainly explored the old city and had a lovely traditional meal at a recommended restaurant. Stayed in the Grand Central by Scandic - very central and we can really recommend it.

Embarkation went smoothly - we had expected extremely long queues and a long waiting time, but it all happened quite quickly. Our cabin, interior stateroom 9513, was ready and we were pleasantly surprised by its size - enough packing space and not cramped at all. Anand, our stateroom attendant, was very friendly, helpful and creative. We had just one problem, and this is truly my only criticism: there was only ONE power point in the room. We both had cell phones that needed charging every evening, which meant that we first had to charge my sister's phone when we got back in the room after the show/entertainment (after 11 pm), and set the alarm for sometime in the night to charge mine. In this day and age most people actually have more than one electronic gadget, like tablets and iPads; surely there must be a way to upgrade the power points to at least two points per room?
