This was my first Royal Caribbean cruise. Took this cruise on recommendation of a friend who said it was best ship she was ever on. I felt it was too big for me. I am used to older, smaller ships.

Embarkation was amazing. You walk right into the Royal Promenade, with a huge water fountain show. Plenty of space for exploration. As usual they try to sell you beverage, internet and specialty dining packages, but it is easy to bypass.

Food: Excellent. Never had a problem. We chose late seating in the Main Dining Room. Fantastic service every night. There were a few choices of dining venues throughout the ship (both included and extra fee). Never had any problem with lines.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

Seemed a little tight, but you're only sleeping there. We had a sofa. I think if you have a sofa-bed, the furniture is arranged where you can maneuver around easier. Deck 7 was perfect. However, on this deck the halls to the elevator and stairs don't go through (port to starboard) so you had to make sure you were on the correct side of the ship when returning to your cabin.
