This cruise was a gift from our son. The food the first two days and nights were terrible. Thankfully it did get better as the cruise went on. However, one night, for no reason at all and without warning, our dining room seating was changed without our consent. We went from having very hospitable and friendly service personnel to people who barely acknowledged us. We were still waiting on our food while the table next to us was getting dessert menus. We finally got served when I went to complain the maitre d. He did put us back at our original table the next night. Then the ship broke down and we didn't make it to Cozumel. We were at a dead stop for over 5 hours. Carnival gave each passenger $50 for their troubles. Not a bad takeaway for Carnival who charged 4 times that for the ticket and then made a killing because everybody was stuck on board and drinking. Add in that most people were planning on doing their shopping in Cozumel since you can barter in Mexico so we were forced to buy souvenirs on board if we wanted to bring our families anything from the trip. I was so disappointed in this cruise. The only reason they get a 2 is because the shows on board were fabulous! The entertainment made the rest of the experience worth it.
The cabin was typical as on board all cruise ships. The shower was tiny and I'm not sure how a large person would ever fit into it.
