Not my first cruise but my first cruise with Carnival. The layout of the ship was awful. The casino is on deck 5 in the middle surrounded by clubs. So to get to any of the clubs you had to walk past the casino and all the cigarette smoke. The top deck was split, to go from top aft to top forward you had to go down two floors then back up again. I absolutely hated the set dining time but liked the assigned table (didn't have to wait to be seated for dinner). The food was not outstanding, but the wait staff was excellent. Guy's Burger Joint served excellent hamburgers. Didn't like the fact I had to pay extra for the alcohol package and the soda package. With Norwegian I get to choose one for free. The remote for the TV did not work and took them a day to replace it and the new one still didn't work properly. The safe could be opened by one card only. I had a balcony room which was very large (enjoyed). Not to difficult getting on and off the ship. The musical guests were substandard, the comedians were excellent. Nothing to do passed 11:00pm.
