This 7 day cruise is just what my wife and I needed to get away from hectic jobs and city life. The crew of the Freedom is top notch, everyone is very nice and always greeted you when they pass you by. I have to give a shout out to our awesome head waiter Kevin and his crew in the Posh dining room, they were fantastic. Kevin makes sure he knows you by your first name on the first visit. The food and service was great every night, brunch was pretty good, breakfast was ok. There are buffets filled with breakfast, lunch and dinner, they were all pretty good, but we stuck with Kevin for dinner because he made us feel special. We did however eat at the steakhouse one evening, well worth the price; you need to do it at least once.

We had a balcony suite which was the perfect choice for us, situated on Deck 6. On the 3rd day of the cruise we caught the northern part of Tropical storm Franklin, the captain did an amazing job of keeping us out of the heavy swells. Unfortunately we did get some of the storm and there was a little rocking of the boat for about 13 hours, but the captain did a fantastic job at keeping it to a minimum.

We didn't go inside the pools, they were usually pretty crowded, especially the ones the kids were aloud in...there is an 18 and over pool as well. There are two 21 and over hot tubs in the front and top of the boat, one hot tub was nice and warm the other was fairly cool...good on a hot day I suppose, but won't relax the muscles from the daily shore excursions.

Cabin Review

Premium Balcony

Cabin 9B

The cabins were spacious, we had plenty of room for all of our stuff and to move around. The rooms didn't still very cold, they were ok, you weren't sweating in them. The mini fridge doesn't get very cold. Suitcases fit nicely under the beds, so they were out of the way. Our friends one door down had robes and water glasses in their cabins, we didn't get any of that, same style rooms/costs. Our room service manager was really good at meeting our needs; Carlous I believe is how you spell his name. The cabin crew made animals out of the towels and laid them on the beds...everyday was something new. Overall I was very satisfied with this balcony room on Deck 6 forward.
