Overall, this was a fabulous cruise. And the issues we had had nothing to do with the ship or the Princess personnel. I highly enjoyed all the festivities Princess had aboard the Caribbean Princess. Our cabin steward, Aco, was great. He left on our fifth day to go home, and our new steward, Leonardo, we hardly saw, but he was also great. My husband struck up a conversation with him once and he was really nice. Our waiter, Hendrick, and his help, Ronaldo, were fabulous. We really enjoyed them. There was a waitress in Club Fusion, Floresca, who was really sweet. The food was awesome, ports were great.

The two problems I had were first with the patch my doctor prescribed for me. It didn't work, and it took until the second day for me to realize I needed something else. Thankfully, I brought some Bonine with me, and after that was in my system about 12 hours, I was good to go. But I missed the first formal night, I was so sick. That was disappointing, but no one's fault. The second problem we had was the weather in Bar Harbour. We were hoping for a sunny day, as my husband had been up to Cadillac Mountain before and saw nothing but fog. Well, it was rainy and foggy and our excursion we took made it up to Cadillac Mountain, but we couldn't even get out of the bus. Again, no one's fault, but somewhat disappointing.

Other than that, it was a great cruise. We had a balcony that overlooked each port, our room was always clean and the food was good. There was a lack of service in the buffet dining rooms. We were constantly getting our own drinks, all the while the staff just watched us. Not always was it that bad, but it seemed to get worse as the days went on. This was the only place we felt as if there was a lack of service. The cruise directors were great and funny. The captain came on one night to warn us of some bad weather we were approaching. It never got that bad, but I thought that was helpful he warned us. The pool was so nice. We were the only ones swimming, it seemed, but the water temperature was perfect! We saw a whale the first day at sea and dolphins jumping and playing. There had to be a dozen of them! The colors were pretty. everything was a close to perfect as one can possible expect.

We loved our cabin, though it creaked a lot. Probably because we were so high up. it as very roomy, lots of closet space. the bathrooms are small, but what can you do about that? LOL. The balcony was great!
