We chose this cruise because we ran out of time planning a trip to Alaska on our own. We had friends who had done the cruise a couple of weeks before and they said it is a wonderful cruise, scenic, and with good stops/excursions. I was not expecting much. I am a "I am never going to cruise again" person after my first and only cruise before this (21 years ago!!) Now I feel dumb! What a beautiful ship, what excellent service, what a great choice of restaurants and what FUN!

As to the ship, it's refurbished, very comfortable and easy to get around. It's very lovely and anywhere you choose to take a selfie, you'll look good! The starboard side is heated, so sitting on the deck on a cooler/cold day (yes, even in July/August!) was not an issue. Lots of outside deck chairs and the view is spectacular. There were 2100 people on this cruise and I would not have guessed unless I decided to eat in the Horizon dining room (buffet) which I did a couple of times for breakfast.

Our cabin was an interior which I selected with the help of people on this site, so THANK YOU!!! We were in Cabin 521C, 10th floor. It's midship and very quiet. No window, no problem, remember, it's just a place to sleep and it had a very, very comfortable bed. Besides, it's Alaska, it's daytime all the time and I like to sleep in a quiet, dark room. I would choose this room again, no problem.
