After all the other cruises to the usual islands (Fiji etc) we thought this one might be different and off to New Guinea we went. Overall the ship, the crew and the food was great. Not much waiting for service in any of the Restaurants. However one big thing is very annoying. The tender service. Any swell and the visit to an island is off. The mooring of tenders to the ship is very slow and tedious and if you have any handicap forget it. The stairs to the tender are challenging NO wheelchair access is possible. The crews for the tenders are slow and waiting time of an hour or two is the norm. That cuts your time on the islands back and it can become a short visit. The shows were good but beware of the extras. There is nothing that you can get for free. Alcohol, soft drinks, ice cream etc costs extra. Would we go on the Aria again? Yes, but we would look at where it goes and make sure that we could step ashore without the tenders. Overall a very friendly ship, happy crew and happy passengers.
Refurbished, clean, no marks on items. Stewards were excellent, could not do enough for you. Beds comfortable and the balcony is large.
