  3. Carnival Miracle
For those of us in the west wanting to cruise in summer and not go to Alaska, Carnival is only line with the Mexican Riviera option. We prefer Princess but they have nothing to offer during summer months off west coast other than Alaska. We were very impressed with service we received from our cabin steward Jeannette, Head Waiter Virgil and his team and when we had issues with onboard Premium WiFi Angelica from Guest Services went over and above to take care of the issue. We had a great meal in Steakhouse also. Food in MDR was just ok but still outpaces the buffet. The Serenity area is a joke with cushions on the chairs and loungers that are just plain gross with sweat stains from others who have used them. We enjoyed our clean forward balcony the majority of the time, As usual for a summer cruise kids were everywhere with no parental supervision in sight. On three separate occasions I entered elevator that had ice cream cones smashed on the floor and all floor buttons lit up. We were on this cruise 5 weeks earlier and attended production shows and several comedy acts, once was enough. Did not attend any of them on this trip. The ship is missing some bells and whistles found on the larger newer boats that we enjoyed when Splendor was used on this itinerary. We look forward to Splendors return to west coast and hope a newer ship will replace it when they turn it over to P & O.

Balcony

Clean and adequate for our needs. Much better than the aft facing cabin we had on previous cruise that constantly vibrated and the balcony was filthy from ash,
