I had cruised the Rhine before but this was my first cruise with Emerald. We were very impressed! The crew always went the extra mile. The food was excellent, as was the service, entertainment. Patricia, the cruise co-ordinator was efficient & tireless.
My other experience was with Viking, but this was a superior experience.
We have already booked with Emerald for September/18 to cruise the Douro River in Portugal & Spain.
The ship, the Emerald Sky is relatively new, so it has all the conveniences. Hot water was plentiful & our steward Malik was meticulous, friendly & efficient. The chocolates on the pillows are a nice touch. Power windows & air conditioning made us quite comfortable.
The ship also has a pool with a relaxing area to sit & converse with friends.
The overall atmosphere created by everyone was increasingly informal & relaxed. Everyone had a lot of fun. We highly recommend Emerald.
