This was our third time on a cruise ship (although the first on Royal Caribbean) but it was definitely an experience that was very pleasantly different from the rest. I was traveling with my children and a friend with limited mobility but from the second we entered the boat, the staff onboard was extremely welcoming and ready to answer all our questions. It is very easy to forget that you are on a cruise ship when you are on a ship such as the Allure because it truly feels like a city on top of the ocean. There were truly breathtaking facilities. One thing that was very notable about my short stay with the Allure is that the food was always something that I could speak positively about and very much looked forward to. I enjoyed the view from my ocean view balcony stateroom and we loved to take pictures there. My children's stateroom, although it was very tiny and interior, was comfortable considering they rarely spent time inside the room but rather on other parts of the ship exploring or visiting the islands on ports of call. St. Marteen is a must go! And did I miss anything from land? Why; when there is Central Park (yes a full park onboard with live trees, grass and flowers!!), an ice rink, a surfing simulator, an aqua theatre, a zip line and shopping mall which made me forget that I was several miles offshore. While the children spent most of their time exploring the exciting stuff like the surfing simulator and the zip line when they were not swimming, my favorite place was the Central Park where the outdoor feeling reminded my friend and me of home as we listened to Jazz and other classic concerts. The evening entertainment was in a class of its own and several days later, I still hold my breath at the thought of those divers on the OceanAria show. One thing I would say that needs improvement though is the lack of enough day-time activities during cruise days. I believe if this issue was fixed by adding some fun activities for all ages, the experience of being on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship would truly be a close to perfect one!
