Sail Date: Aug 2017

We chose this cruise for the Havana stop. We wish we had more time there but by booking a private 1955 Buick convertible, we were able to see more without waiting for buses to load and unload at each stop. We have sailed with RCCL since 1976 so, for us, the ship was a delightful gem. Not without its problems though. The Chefs Table, which is a 3 hour, 6 course fixed menu is not the place for children or,vegetarians (who were our table mates). We were then informed that the only other "upscale" choice, Chops Grille, not only allows children, but encourages them by allowing them in with no charge. Not the kind of experience we expected when booking. The lack of a Diamond lounge was a bit disappointing but the Diamond breakfast was a nice touch. This cruise was port intensive so we didn't partake of onboard activities much.

Cabin Review

Cabin Oceanview

Not surprisingly small but adequate. The location was very convenient to two underutilized elevators. The bathroom was the smallest we had in a while. It is possible the shower could be "enlarged" by a bowed shower curtain rod. The porthole/window had rust marks from leaks. We had the beds separated so that there was twice the room between beds to move around.
