Sorely disappointed in Norwegian, who position themselves at the higher end of cruise lines. Service was rude and slow to put it mildly, and they allow children to literally run wild all over the ship, not just near the pool where you would expect it and where it doesn't bother most people. People were also smoking where they weren't allowed and the crew just let it happen. I stepped on a glass shard at the entrance to the waterslides, and WHILE I WAS BLEEDING the crew member there was rude and not helpful at all. I had to hobble to the 13th floor to have the ship's doctor dig in my foot to remove the glass shard, after arguing with them that I should not have to PAY them to remove THEIR glass from my FOOT. After a long hour of digging in my foot with no anesthetic, he finally got the glass out. Oh yeah, they made me take a breathalizer also - which was 0.00 because I hadn't had a drop to drink before getting hurt. They also interrogated me and my husband like we had done something wrong. Afterward, no apology, no follow up in the days after to check on me.... In fact to make matters worse, later that same evening we had dinner at O'Sheehan's and I was served fajitas with a long black hair in a piece of the beef. Truly a fantastic cap to a stellar day. At least they said sorry about that one. At the Mojito bar, the bartenders are SURLY and slow. They advertise a flight of Mojitos but when you order it, you get attitude and they try to talk you out of it, probably because it takes a while for them to make all 6 flavors but it's on the menu and hey it's my vacation - so I wanted it.

The cigarette butts on my beautiful balcony flicked down from the idiots on the balconies above sat there uncleaned for 3 days. Smoking is not permitted on balconies, but somehow half the time when we wanted to go out there we smelled smoke so you do the math. Everything went unpoliced, except for the people spraying you down with hand sanitizer at every turn, which was actually quite annoying. Smoke and yell and run and bang in to people, but put this sanitizer on your hands and all is forgiven. Norwegian clearly needs to realign their focus so when people get on their ship they look forward to the cruise instead of when it will finally end so they can get the heck off. Not the way I wanted to spend my 25th Anniversary.
