We chose this because we live within driving distance of Southampton. Embarkation went really smoothly. Heard some comments that the platinum / diamond / pinnacle lines weren't selective, but the queues were quick to get through and the staff very helpful.

The ship took some exploring - the promenade area is a real visual treat. Our cabin was great for what we wanted and really appreciated the balcony for some space to sit.

Dining was brilliant - we shared a table with 2 other families, one of whom left after the first evening for a table to themselves. We got on really well with the other family and it was a real pleasure to sit and chat each evening. The waiter and his assistant were amazing - the assistant waiter (Manuel) kept us entertained each night with tricks and puzzles.
