Upon choosing Carnival Paradise - 5 Night Western Caribbean Our cruise itinerary was almost immediately changed on the first day and our primary desired destination was removed from our trip which was the Cayman Islands. The problem was declared as "unexpected" mechanical problems, yet upon research this was an identical "unexpected" problem causing the same destination changes a few months earlier. Both of these scenarios occurred on the same Carnival Paradise ship. Almost every couple we spoke with on the trip was highly unsatisfied with their cruise. Passengers were only refunded a mere $25 cruise cash for the missed destination. We also had a confrontation with the 2 guest services representatives due to a simple misunderstanding. This was a scenario where the customer wasn't "always right" or kindly spoken to at all. You expect to go somewhere and have a great time when you pay for a trip and this was not the case with Carnival. Finally, the food and entertainment quality and availability where "ok" at best in comparison to any of the other cruises we have experienced. I would like others to be aware of this before planning a trip with this cruise line. Myself and my wife agreed that we will never be traveling with Carnival cruise lines ever again.
