This was our third cruise and our second with Royal Caribbean. This was our first time out of Baltimore and our first cruise to New England/Canada. We cruised with our two children (16 and 20) and one set of grandparents (70). We live about an hour west of Baltimore. We left our house at 9:30 AM on Thursday morning and were stepping aboard Grandeur by 11:00 AM. It was amazingly easy! We sailed through each step. We pulled in to the Baltimore port, were greeted warmly, dropped off luggage, parked, walked through customs and security with a very small line, then walked right up to an open ship check in. We are still stunned with how easy and quick embarking was!

Our first day of the cruise was cloudy but the rain held off. Sailing out of Baltimore was fun. We stayed out on deck and watched us sail under the Key Bridge and Bay Bridge. We had every intention of staying up for the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel but didn't make it. Midnight came too late that first night! Sailing down the Chesapeake Bay was great.

We experienced a little weather Thursday night/ Friday but after that the weather was picture perfect - cool, no humidity, sunny.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin L

The cabin was small, as expected. It is oriented horizontally which makes getting into the bed on the side of the TV and dresser a little tricky when the two beds are pushed together. Our two kids shared an adjacent room. Their beds were apart and they seemed to have more room and ease to get around. There was ample storage and the room was quiet.
