Viking Sea Cruise Review by rcarterg

Trip Details
  • Sail Date: May 2017
  • Destination: the Baltic Sea

We wanted to see the Scandinavian countries and St. Petersburg so we chose this cruise which stopped in Sweden, Finland, Russia, Germany, Denmark and Norway.

The cruise was great the only negative part was not getting to see the Polish port due to mechanical problems.

The substitute of a small Danish island was nice but we would have rather seen Gdańsk.

The included tours give one an overview of the port cities and when supplemented with additional tours more than fill the time at any port.

The size of the ship allows docking in the center of most cities which enhances the overall experience.

Our accommodations were perfect and the overall experience was very enjoyable. This was our second Viking cruise and are now looking forward to our third. That in itself should tell anyone that we enjoy Viking cruises.

I would be remiss in this review not to mention the excellent staff and crew. They really seem to enjoy waiting on you and making your experience something special.
