We were looking for a cruise to the Baltic which we last visited 12 years ago & hesitantly chose NCL only because it fitted our holiday dates & the price was quite reasonable.

Having been loyal NCL customers for a number of years in the past, we haven't cruised with them for a long time because we felt that they had lost its way in many areas & our last cruise with them was very disappointing.

However - this time we really had a great holiday! The Getaway is a large ship but we navigated it quite easily. Our stateroom was well laid out, always kept clean and apart from the disappointing balcony - well, more of a shelf really! - the rest worked fine. My daughter reported that the sofa bed was the best she had slept in over the last 12 cruises - praise indeed!

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Very understated decor, but comfortable bed, excellent sofa bed, nicely appointed bathroom. Plenty of storage.

We seem to have been given a shelf instead of a balcony - it was the smallest I think I've ever seen! - but as we were in the Baltic Sea there wasn't too much opportunity for sitting out anyway.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Wonderful Copenhagen - loved this city!

Quite pricey, but walkable, varied, clean, good food, friendly, interesting. Can't wait to visit again.

Tallinn

Pretty Tallin, the old town has some wonderful architecture, you can wander around all day & keep finding something new.
