We chose to cruise with Slversea because we liked the itinerary. Shortly after making the reservation and paying in full I saw an ad online for our exact cruise offering free roundtrip airfare to Europe and a two cabin upgrade. I contacted Silversea and was given a partial credit for the airfare but no cabin upgrade. I declined using Silversea to make our pre and post hotel and transfer reservations because of the outrageous price. I booked the same hotels they were using online and with a travel agent for a fraction of the cost. Taxis were readily available for transfers at the hotels and at the piers, again for a fraction of the price Silversea was charging. The cruise consultant at Silversea was not very welcoming or gracious on the telephone.
The dining venues were plentiful for a small ship. The food in the main dining room was good but not exceptional. We were served two entrees that were extremely disappointing and the wait staff immediately took out orders for something else. The service by the waitstaff was excellent; courteous, attentive, and professional. Overall the food was not much better than much less expensive cruises.
The shore excursions were, for the most part, very enjoyable. Three of the ports, Germany, Talinn, and Marie Hamm were a complete waste of time, nothing to do and not much to see. The dock locations were excellent.
Spacious enough. Very good storage with walk in closet and safe.
