First time on RC. I heard good things and loved the options promoted on their ship over others. Booking and embarking went very smoothly. I was a little turned off by the porters with my luggage. He was very direct about wanting a tip for putting my bags on the cart. The rest went great. The lines moved quickly and they did a great job directing people. Then the promotions for purchasing dining and beverage packages - all the way into the ship.

The ship itself is beautiful and very expansive. Be prepared to walk. Take the time to orient yourself to all the different clubs and dining options. If you didn't have a travel agent who could educate you, ask lots of questions to a variety of staff members. I found out about dining options on the last day that I didn't know existed - even after asking staff where all I could get food. The TV has channels providing information about the ship, too. We had a balcony suite with myself and two teen boys. The king bed splits into two twins, but you have to ask. The balcony was nice for some extra space. Once the couch is made up, there is no room to really move around, so have it made up right before you are ready for bed. The room was clean. Be advised, if you like colder showers, you won't find them on the ship. Luke warm to scalding hot water was our options. The spa did have colder showers if you are having services done.

Dining and beverages varied. The main dining hall did a good job of their mass produced meals. Everything came out cooked as ordered and warm. The dining halls are crowded and loud, so be prepared. The Windjammer buffet hall was nice but lines are long during peak hours. They provide food for a variety of cultures and diets but the selection doesn't change. If you want something, ask. They will try and get it for you if available.

San Juan

I didn't book in time to get an excursion, so we just walked around town. There are lots of places to shop and take pictures. The pier has food and art vendors with very reasonable prices for local handmade goods. They will even custom make items for you if you ask. I have lots of beautiful photos. It was nice from the short time we were there.
