This was our second cruise with Uniworld and it was just as glorious as the first. This was an 8 day cruise called Enchanting Danube, This boat the Maria Theresa as all the Uniworld ships is lavish in décor. If you like simple and understated , this is not for you. But if your taste tends toward the Baroque there is nothing better. The technology in the staterooms and public rooms is state of the art. The crew is marvelous. They would do hand springs just to make your cruise more enjoyable. The guides on the shore excursions are charming, knowledgeable and most helpful. Gastronomically the food is sumptuous. Unlike many cruise boats, you have several choices and they cater to special needs. Our children who were with us are vegetarians and they never ate this well before!

There is one caveat and that concerns the popularity of river boat cruising. This form of travel has become so popular that there are too many boats doing the same itineraries. This makes for a jumble at various ports and the result is that boats have to double up and even triple. The result is that you are often left looking a the window of another boat and not at your port or even at the river.

Outside Stateroom with Window

Cabin 4

You don't have to opt for the suites with butler service. Our stateroom was in the middle cost wise and it was perfect.
