Family cruise with 11 members, this cruise fit the bill for everyone's requirements. Ship is large but not huge. The food was excellent, we ate at the Oceanview Buffet and the San Marco Restaurant only. Didn't feel the need to spend more in the other restaurants. Tried the gym for yoga and Pilates, both good. The ship provided the mats, straps and blocks. Evening entertainment wasn't my thing, but some family members enjoyed it. Since I was up early ended up going to bed early! Took 2 shore excursions, the bike rides in Ibiza and Mallorca. Both good, Ibiza one was pretty active, Mallorca was more informative. Most times we just got off the ship and made our own way to a destination. Most destinations were decent, although Toulon could have been dropped. Not really near anywhere and required a $20 (round trip) boat taxi. Public areas were spotless. Constantly saw staff cleaning. Pool area was decent and could always find a spot to rest, deck 4 had some quieter recliners. One criticism was the constant live bands all over the ship. Had a hard time hearing family when they were playing, and sometimes they weren't that good. Staff on-board were faultless. From the tender service, hand gel staff, housekeepers, restaurant, bar staff, guest services EVERYONE smiled and was courteous. From the moment we got to embarkation everything went smoothly. This was only my 3rd cruise but the best so far. On-board, met with other cruisers who were far more cruise savvy than me, and they loved Celebrity. Very multinational guests.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

Cabin 2C

Our cabin 6045 was right next to one of the stairs and we were worried about noise, but we didn't hear any. The cabin location was very convenient. Loads of space and places to store stuff. We took a hanging shoe organizer and that was a great help with space. AC was effective. Shower was decent sized, and again lots of space to store stuff in the bathroom. Balcony was small but practical. Younger family members had an inside cabin 7063 with drop down beds and they found it ideal for 3 young adults. Only thing that would have made the cabin better would be built in USB ports. Practical for all nations, no need for adapters.

Port Reviews

Toulon

Not a lot to do without spending 20 euros to catch the water taxi. Tried to get the local taxi but it was full and they only ran every 30 minutes, and didn't fancy waiting in the sun for another one. Took a walk along the coast to a fort museum about 30 minutes away. Got there but it was closed for a 3 hour lunch! If we had rented bikes independently we would have had a better experience and could have traveled further. Next time!
