Our family chose Disney Cruise Line for our first cruise because we had seen the making of a Disney cruise ship on the travel channel and thought it looked interesting, since we enjoy Disney properties we thought this would be a perfect fit. The Disney Dream is a beautiful ship very well maintained and clean. We had the 11:45 port arrival time but this did not seem to matter because no one was allowed on the ship until almost 1 o'clock, we arrived at the port at 11:45 then waited about an hour and half until our group was called. Once on board it was nice since there were not many people on the ship yet.
We had 2 connecting balcony suites, we could have gotten the family suite for a little less but there would not have been as much room. I was surprised at the size of the rooms I was expecting them to be much smaller from what others have said about cabin sizes. It was nice having a split bathroom making it easier to get ready at the same time.
Our first meal was at Cabana's the buffet style restaurant for lunch. I was surprised at all the choices, they had everything you could imagine, lots of healthy choices too. Make sure you walk all the way around the entire restaurant because there are more choices on different sides. The food was very good and warm much better than I expected.
Very roomy and clean, lots of storage and room to unpack
