We chose the Norwegian Breakaway Bermuda Cruise in June as it was a first cruise for my parents. My mom was afraid of being on the sea and going from port to port so we chose this as it docked for 3 days.
We booked 2 balcony rooms for the 4 of us and a Solo traveler's lounge for our 27 year old son who was traveling alone. The choice for him turned out to be a mistake as most of the people traveling solo that week were 40 and over. Lesson learned...next time he will pay for an inside room for two and find a friend. BUT...that was the worst thing that happened and that's not that bad!
Our balcony rooms were lovely. The balconies on this ship are smaller than others we've been on but that didn't cause a problem. In hindsight I would rather have an aft facing balcony on a lower deck. We were on deck 14 port side in Bermuda and did have some noise from the bars/restaurants in port so if that bothers you don't get a port side balcony. The vanity/desk area in these rooms were lacking storage so plan accordingly. Again, not at all a problem or deal breaker, just something to know!
Cabin was nice. The balcony was a little small. We were right around the corner from the elevator and one flight of stairs up to the pool area. We were close to closets for cleaning supplies and often heard the doors opening and closing but wasn't a deal breaker. We were toward the aft and could hear the bass from Spice H20. That bothered me but not the rest of the family. If you are bothered by that sort of noise don't book toward the aft on this ship.
