We wanted to see the British Isles without having to drive. The ports were great. We have traveled on Princess many times before and the service was first rate as always. Some of the excursions were better then others. I would say the St Andrew and Glamas castle excursion was my favorite. And I loved going to Sark and biking all over the island. My husband thought the main entrees could have been better but the starters and desserts were fantastic. The entertainment was really good. We had a balcony that was a little bigger then the standard size. It had some shade which was nice. It was nice that they were flexible with the formal dinning night because one of my relatives forgot a coat jacket and he was able to wear just a nice shirt. We really enjoyed the whole trip and will plan on going with Princess again.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Very nice excursion through Princess to see the Blarney Castle. It was pretty crowded there but that wasn't their fault. They took us to a hotel for lunch with singers and dancers. That was really excellent.

Dublin

We went on the hop on and off bus and did some shopping.

Belfast

Great hop on and off bus. They had a nice flea market we had fun shopping at.

Greenock (Glasgow)

We took the free Greenock tour which was great. Then went shopping and went back to the ship. We didn't go to Glasgow which would have taken around 40 min. on a train. The greenock tour has 2 different tours to choose from. Its a really beautiful city.

Kirkwall

This is a really windy Island. We could not get the tour we wanted so we went on our own to town. They have a great medival church and castle like buildings to explore and then we went shopping in the really cute town. Upstairs in one building they had a whole craft show of handmade items for sale. They did have a hop on and off bus but you have to get tickets for that in advance. That was the only port that you couldn't get tickets for the hop on and off bus when you get there. So if you want to see more sites get those tickets before you go to Kirkwall. I think this little town had the best shopping.
