Thankfully, we only used the ship to return to USA trying to avoid the inevitable jet lag. I can confirm all the previous reviews that the ship has too many problems. Firstly, we didn't need an alarm clock as we were woken early every morning by the Buffet crew moving trolleys etc. The ship and cabin were clean as expected. The Britannia Restaurant had major failures, mainly menu items not reflected by what was received. For example, Bouillabaisse, just stock no other ingredients, Chocolate nougat cake with caramel, ganache covered cake with caramel sauce decorating plate, not one nut. I could go on, but I understand that the chefs are catering for 1000 persons at one sitting and the quality of the food reflects this, but I think that someone should actually check the menus given to guests. The weather was not good, so people were having to use the passageway through the buffet to get to other parts of the ship, this made it very difficult to carry food and drinks to a table. Getting a table is another problem, we had to eat in shifts as if the table was left, it was cleaned and someone else took over the table, even if a jacket was left. The entertainment was acceptable but because the venues were small for the ship and nothing else was going on, seeing some of the Insight speakers was impossible. Embarcation was not a problem, probably one hour in Southampton. After experiencing a Queen Victoria cruise, we thought that the reviews were probably not really reflective of the conditions on the ship, but unfortunately, they are.
