We have always wanted to visit Venice, Italy and Athens, Greece so we were pleased to find this itinerary on Viking Ocean Cruises. In the past, we have enjoyed the casual/sophisticated formula of the Viking River Cruises and, having discovered that Viking maintained the same formula for the ocean cruises,we knew we would not be disappointed by the ship, the food, the service and the excursions. The Viking ocean cruise had the same clean and contemporary style as the river cruises but had more dining, entertainment and educational options. We greatly appreciated that the ship was docked within walking distance of the main historic areas in both Zadar, Croatia and Kotor, Montenegro. Because of the size and type of ship, we only had to be tendered at Santorini, Greece. As a result of the cruise, we discovered what Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia had to offer and hope to visit that part of the world again in the future.

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

The cabin was comfortable and clean

Port Reviews

Dubrovnik

We took the shuttle into the historic area and had a great day exploring the wall and the town within

Zadar

We were able to walk from the ship throughout this town and had plenty of time to explore on our own
