I chose this cruise first of all because of the solo cabins. I thought that the port of call excursions (all researched and set up by myself, and not through the ship) would be the focal point of my vacation, and I would treat the cruise as my floating hotel room. I was pleasantly surprised by the solo experience on the ship, helped along, no doubt by an enthusiastic and helpful solo cruise director. Loved the opportunity to meet new people. I also loved the studio lounge which helped facilitate group dinners and entertainment events. Dinner and show reservations were magically taken care of. It was great!

I found that the most unfriendly cruise employees were those at the main desk. Perhaps they were tired of handling cruiser issues. I just had a question however, and felt that I did not deserve the coldness and curtness with which my question was answered.

While there were still some facets of cruising namely, the constant grabbing of money by this cruise line, for the solo cabins alone I will again book with NCL.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews of the studio cabins but perhaps with my lower expectations going in I was thrilled with my space! Absolutely everything I needed was in my sweet little cabin, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and it added, not detracted from my overall cruise experience.
