I'd been on numerous cruises, but had avoided Carnival due to image I had of a 7 day frat party at sea. Tried the Pride in June and loved it. Was that just a fluke, or would I love my 9/26 Glory cruise too? Traveled with a coworker (her 1st cruise) this time. Glory was beautiful and very clean. I saw a few rust streaks on front of ship and after a couple hours in our 1st port, they were scrubbed and painted over. As a facilities manager, I was impressed by how there was constant cleaning and maintenance. The room was identical to our room on the Pride except this was on lido deck near elevator. A little noisy at times from performers in the lobby, but never kept us awake. So convenient to get to sundecks, pools and buffet. Food was excellent. I would have been just as happy eating dinners in Red Sail informal restaurant as lunches were great, but wanted my friend to experience the more formal dining too. Cruise director James was very good, loved the Comedy Club they are testing on the Glory. Never had a problem finding lounge chairs. I won a diamond and sapphire necklace at the shopping talk (which I would normally have blown off, but again wanted my friend to experience it all.) Only negative for me was the red, white and blue game that Carnival has as a competition between floors. It got to be a bit much, it was obvious at times they were tossing "points" out to one team or another and nobody was keeping track of it. Nobody really wins anything.... Others may have loved it, but to me it was overkill. I thought this was one of the best cruises I've ever been on.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8 E

Noisy evenings due to sound carrying up from lobby bar. Close to pools, lounge chairs and food. No noise from lido deck activities. Laundry room near by.
