I wanted to see Russia while I still can. It was amazing, a lot different than we thought it would be. Everything was very clean and safe. Except for a weather problem due to the date that we cruised(ice on the lake), everything proceeded without a hitch. The tour guides that accompanied us the ship were very knowledgeable and as were the local guides. The disparity between urban and rural is amazing. The tour of a locals residence is a must. The ship's crew was excellent and very attentive to our requests. The food was great with a lot of regional choices. Our cabin had a veranda which was bigger than our European cruise. We did not sit outside because of the temperature. There was adequate space in our cabin for our belongings and the housekeeping staff kept it very clean. Our cruise actually started in St. Petersburg after a train ride from Helsinki. We would definitely recommend this cruise if you are interested in experiencing Russia.

Cabin Veranda

As I mentioned above, we had plenty of space for when we were in it.
