My husband and I chose this cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday and our 25th anniversary. The cruise met and exceeded all our expectations. We went with our 4 adult children and my parents and we all had an amazing time. Embarkation went well despite the huge number of passengers to process. The ship was incredible with all its amenities. We particularly enjoyed Central Park, the walking/running track, the Promenade with all its sidewalk cafes, shops and entertainment, and the great number of activities and entertainment. The Cruise Director, Tim, and his staff were incredibly friendly and funny (highlights were the hilarious 70s dance party in the Promenade and the Love & Marriage show). The ship's musicians were wonderful, especially the Filipino band, Centerpiece, the contemporary jazz band and also the jazz ensemble. Guest Services staff were warm and helpful. We noticed that all the staff/crew seemed to be genuinely friendly and happy to be there. The food and service were very good. Suresh and Jose in the Grande Dining Room were so very hospitable, attentive and friendly to us. We loved the ports. In St. Maarten, we toured with DJ Dave from Bernard's Tours, who went above and beyond expectations, taking us to all the island's amazing best features including Orient Beach, Maho Beach, Marigot and several lookout points. In San Juan, we went on a cruise line excursion which was very good with a stop at the fortress. In Labadee we had a great beach day with BBQ lunch. We highly recommend the All Access Ship Tour. It was a great way to see the inner workings of the ship including the kitchens/galleys, food storage areas, laundry rooms, engine room, crew's I-95 (pathway through the ship), the crew dining room and the bridge where we got to meet the captain, Captain Rob, and his staff and ask all the questions we wanted. They were very accessible and wonderful to us. I know it seems that this review is too positive and that there must be something to complain about but honestly every bit of our cruise was wonderful and we feel privileged to have had this remarkable experience on the Oasis.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin D7 7146
The cabin was clean and well-maintained. There was enough room for the two of us with lots of storage space (cubicles, drawers, hangers, etc.) The bathroom was good with no odour (which we experienced on other cruises with another cruise line). We loved leaving our balcony window a little ajar at night so we could hear the waves outside. Having a balcony was a first for us and so worth it. We took a lot of sunrise and sunset pictures from there and loved having our own private space to sit outside.

  • Labadee
We had a full beach day in Labadee including swimming in the ocean, lounging on deck chairs and enjoying a BBQ lunch in covered dining areas. We watched zipliners fly past us from the hill nearby and lots of kids enjoyed large floating sports equipment. There was free transportation on the island for those who wanted it. You can get beautiful views of the ocean from one side and views of the ship in the bay on the other side. There was also a lot of souvenir shopping available and many picture opportunities. Amazing port.

  • City Tour
We took a bus tour of old and new San Juan with the cruise line. Our driver/guide took us to a beach lookout spot, then to a hotel on the beach to view the gorgeous scenery and do some shopping. Then we went to the historic fort in San Juan where we had time to walk around and take some amazing photos of the fort and the city. Very memorable.

  • St. Maarten
We had a wonderful day with DJ Dave, touring the Dutch and French sides of the island, swimming at the beautiful Orient Beach, watching the planes at Maho Beach, shopping in Marigot, and viewing the island from various look-outs. DJ Dave was friendly, funny and very accommodating, providing us with free drinks including rum punch and beer, soda and water. We loved our day on St. Maarten.
