We chose this cruise for the itinerary; we chose Viking because we love Viking. I would recommend upgrading to shore excursions that are not the included ones. The included ones are mostly walking tours of the towns with a museum or church visit. There is usually time to walk the old towns before or after. We had a fabulous visit to a family olive farm in Montenegro; in Santorini we toured an amazing archeological site; in Greece, we visited Delphi and Olympia. In Dubrovnik, the included tour is a fairly comprehensive tour of the town.

The dining choices were outstanding. There are 2 specialty restaurants at no extra charge. The main dining room did seem to run out of energy the last night. Every afternoon there is an elegant tea service with abundant accompaniments for free.

The cabin (penthouse veranda) was huge compared to the old cruise cabins. There was a sofa, chair and coffee table. All cabins have a balcony (veranda). Happily, we were upgraded to the penthouse veranda, but the regular rooms are also large with sitting areas.
